None of us has a monopoly of understanding concerning best practices in business. Throughout my career - whether as a diplomat or as an entrepreneur or in my private life - I have tried to understand what special quality of leadership is required to deliver results in a specific situation.

If the old adage in consulting is true that "you’re only as good as your last deal", then I should be O.K. But nonetheless, I will try to keep myself updated about that big world out there and my place in it, and pass on some observations on a regular basis.
